Online Executive MBA (eMBA)

Overview

The online Executive Master of Business Administration (eMBA) Program is a two year program uniquely designed to meet the challenging needs of mid-career professionals who wish to pursue an MBA degree with the least possible disruption to their professional and personal lives. The program is offered online and combines the advanced business concepts of a Master of Business Administration curriculum and prepares candidates to lead and manage organizations in the private and energy sector.

The program is delivered entirely online and is administered through the Blackboard Academic Suites. These platforms include virtual classrooms, live chats, online lectures, and teleconferencing. The program provides a flexible course schedule to allow students to maintain a regular full-time work schedule. Geared towards the working professional, the e-MBA program does not require the regular graduate admission exams for admission; however, it does put emphasis on years of professional work experience as one of the major admissions criteria.

Global Immersion Experience

Given the continued impact of COVID-19 on global public health and events surrounding Pandemic, the Dean of the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University, Dr. David Yen, has made the difficult decision to suspend our EMBA International Business Trip indefinitely. The CDC existing guidelines state that the programs should be aware that students may face unpredictable circumstances, such as travel restrictions, challenges returning home, and challenges accessing health care while abroad. Consequently, and in an abundance of caution for our student’s health, the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University has debarred all future student travel.
